Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that mop and vacuum offer the convenience of removing dry debris (dust dirt, grit) and wet messes (spills or staining) in one session without the need to change devices. They can also help save space compared to two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot should be able to navigate well and have excellent obstacle avoidance. Look for models that have docks that allow them to automatically empty their bins, refill their water tanks and machine-wash the mopping pads.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It has plenty to offer for its affordable price and is among the easiest robots we've tested to install. Unpacking is simple and the quick-start manual will have you up and running in no time. You'll have a an entire dust bag, water tank and a hard floor.
The S1 Pro is a powerful little machine that is able to clean up a storm and also vacuums well. The mops spin at a high speed and utilize 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to swiftly remove dirt, pet hair and sticky dried spills. The vacuum has four power modes, a range of brushes and attachments, and an intuitive app that lets you choose the exact kind of cleaning you'd like to have for each room.
For instance, you can decide to let the robot take care of a thorough clean-up in the living and kitchen but go easy on the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors as well as smart navigation technology. It is able to detect small obstacles that other models cannot. Its only drawback is that it tends to smash into walls and other objects at a high speed, but an instant glance at the history of cleaning in the app tells you exactly what it's doing as well as where it's heading and what obstacles it's run into or avoided.
The docking station has an LCD display that indicates when maintenance is needed, such as emptying debris and washing the water tank that is dirty. It's also able to mix detergent automatically into the water tank using a 600ml bottle of Eufy's own solution.
Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum come with a long-running time. The mop is able to run for 184 mins in Quiet Mode. The vacuum can last 136 mins in standard mode, before having to recharge or returning to the base. The app is easy to use and intuitive that lets you see every aspect of the cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the latest version of Roborock's top-of-the-line robot vacuum and mop, is the most up-to-date version. The model this year has an agitator that doubles as its mopping pad. This enhances the carpet cleaning capabilities of this model. The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction power that enables it to pick up smaller hairs and other particles other robotic cleaners could miss.

As with the other two Roborock models I've tested, this one has reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology which help it avoid walls, furniture and other obstacles. But the S8 Pro Ultra takes things a step further by adding a dual camera which can recognize objects and determine whether they're a wall or another type of surface. It can then change its path automatically and clean around the objects, without missing a step.
It's the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed, but it's also the most loaded with features. Its sleek and angular design is attractive and it has only three physical buttons which include the power button which also resumes cleaning; a mop button that doubles as a child lock and a home button that can return the robot to its dock. The hinged lid opens to reveal a 350ml trash bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank automatically emptys and the bin automatically refills.
The only downside I found with this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't movable. While you can replace the mopping cloth (if needed) however, it's a hassle to take off the mount itself for manual washing. I've found any plush carpet that the robot touches will come into contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on the mount, which can cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart capabilities, including support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. You can manage and set up these through the Roborock app that is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app also allows you to schedule cleanings and monitor the battery life and maintain your components. However, you'll have to go through a few hurdles to enable voice control on this model, which is a shame considering the performance of this model.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop equipped with exceptional suction power, advanced mowing capabilities, and innovative features. Its innovative design allows for customized and efficient cleaning while saving you time.
The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first to feature 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is one of the most powerful alternatives available. This powerful vacuum removes dry mess, including pet hair and dust. It has a mop of excellent quality that can clean hard floors without the need for a pad. The X40 is also very quiet when in operation, with only occasional bursts during modes changes or self-maintenance.
Another notable feature is the X40's expandable and liftable side brush, which lets it get into hard-to-reach corners and intimately clean furniture such as table and chair legs. It also allows the robot to access furniture that is low-profile, making it a great option for apartments or condos with limited space. The side brush also automatically swivels downwards when it detects wet spots. have a peek at these guys is a nice feature that assists the X40 to avoid causing damage to floors by excessive back-and-forth movements.
In contrast to other robots that only focus on one task, the X40 can perform both vacuuming and mopping at the same time or in a series. It can also be programmed to eliminate areas with carpet and mop only hard floors or vice versa. It can be controlled via the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure smooth voice-controlled operations.
The app is intuitive and user-friendly, and the X40's smart features are a breeze to install. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, adjust suction power and mode, view floor plans and mapping and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also keep track of its progress and notify you when it is finished.
The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with many convenient features, making it an ideal option for busy families. Its docking station automatically empties the dustbin into a large 3.2 L bin, cleans the mop pads, then refills them with clean water and cleaning solution. It can also tell when the mop pad is overflowing and notify you when it gets overflowing, reducing the necessity for manual maintenance.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models on the market. It has a number of characteristics that make it stand out. The mops are equipped with a new feature called Smart DuoScrub. This utilizes two mops that are high-speed to scrub floors more thoroughly than the traditional method, and it has an impressive suction power of 7,000Pa. This is more than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also vacuum up pet hair, dirt particles and remove spills and dirt-stained spots.
Its mops are also cleaned and dried inside the base station after every use. This is a great feature since it prevents the growth of odours and mould in the storage area, and it also makes the mop system a lot more efficient. It's a system that we've yet to see on other robot vacuum and mop models and could be a useful way of keeping your home hygienic for longer.
There are a lot of choices, including the possibility to schedule cleanings and adjust preferences. The app lets you set these preferences or utilize the buttons on the device itself. The app is easy to use and offers a variety of options for customising your cleaning routine. It also has several features that aren't available on other robots, for instance the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction whenever it detects dust particles.
The L20 Ultra has a stylish design that has a white-and-metallic look that looks elegant and elegant. It's a little heavier than the other two-in-1 robots on this list, at 4kg - but it's not obscenely heavy, and it is sturdy and well-built. Mopping is well-designed, and the double rotating mop is a great choice for hard floors or in corners. They can even extend to 2mm baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature which is a nice addition.
