Best Automatic Vacuum and Mop Combos
The Narwal Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is among the most efficient combos I've tested. Its base station features large dustbin as well as a water tank. Its dual rubber brushes are less prone to hair tangles than single bristles.
Its mopping performance is strong and its AI mapping is excellent at eliminating obstacles. It also has the capability to pause its cleaning job and resume where it left off.
1. Roomba Combo j9+
The Roomba Combo J9+ is a robot mop that doubles as a vacuum cleaner that is among the most sophisticated available. It has a sleek, self emptying Clean Base which can be used to store up to two mopping cycles. It's designed to look just like a desk. It is also the only robot we tested with an onboard reservoir that automatically washes and refills the pads for cleaning after each vacuum and mopping cycle.
The mopping arm is placed on the top of the unit until it detects hard floors, then it lowers to begin scrubbing. It is able to move slowly over surfaces to avoid accidentally spreading mud or wet spills across carpeted areas. It does a great job of staying out of the way of furniture, cords, and other obstacles.
The iRobot Home App is smarter than most robot vacuums. It lets you modify the settings of your cleaner, prioritize rooms based on dirtiness, schedule cleaning times, and much more. The app comes with precise maps of your home with seasonal suggestions, custom cleaning routines, as well as intuitive smart-home integrations.

With iRobot's Dirt Detective it can learn about your cleaning habits to adjust the cleaning priorities and settings to the most soiled areas of your home.
2. Yeedi M12 Pro+
With its premium features and user-friendly app controls The Yeedi M12 Pro+ is an impressive contender in the field of automatic mop and vacuum robots. Its powerful suction power and cutting-edge mopping technology make it the perfect cleaning partner for smart homes. The M12 has several different cleaning modes, including vacuuming and mopping. Its intelligent design lets the M12 map a space in just six minutes and then adjust its cleaning path accordingly. Its advanced mopping features include two spinning pads, as well as electronically controlled water and a "True Edge" Adaptive Edge Mopping System that ensures thorough cleaning of all edges.
In terms of navigation in terms of navigation, the M12 makes use of LiDAR, IR, and 3D structured light to avoid obstacles. Its sensors do an excellent job of detecting large objects, such as HVAC vents and furniture. However, they may struggle with smaller objects like cables and small rags which can cause the robot to miss spots.
The M12's built-in inclinometer enables it to sense and navigate stairs. It also has the ability to automatically return to its OMNI station to wash and dry its mop brushes and refill its water tanks. When the batteries run out and the OMNI Station is empty, the OMNI Station is able to clean itself and empty the trash bin when its batteries are low.
3. Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra
The Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra is the bleeding edge in robot cleaning, packing an incredible number of features into an elegant package. It comes with the largest mopping capacity, a camera for enhanced obstacle avoidance and a powerful vacuum that has the ability to sense when it's going over carpets. It also has advanced technology and voice assistant features.
It's a fantastic vacuum and mop, completing our 1,500 square foot test area in a mere 101 minutes before running out of battery and returning to its dock. Its mop cleans itself between use, which lowers maintenance costs and keeps its pads clean. A dock sensor detects when a mop pad becomes dirty and initiates a wash cycle.
The S8 MaxV Ultra, like its predecessors has an intelligent system which can detect things that are commonplace, like pet waste and shoes using the combination of a camera and LIDAR. It was a great performer in our obstacle avoidance evaluation, with only one hiccup in my testing (it was stuck when in unwinding a ball of wool that was caught in its brush arm).
The S8 MaxV Ultra has a new suction force of 10,000pa which is nearly twice as powerful as its predecessor. This makes it a great option for homes with carpeting in abundance and varying kinds of flooring. The vacuum can be programmed to automatically increase suction when it moves over dust or crumbs.
Similar to previous models, several docking stations are able to be set up to make it easier to clean and mop process. It can also be connected to your home plumbing with special docks that drain and fills up the water tank automatically after you've finished.
4. Dreametech X40 Ultra
The Dreame X40 Ultra robot vacuum and mop is the company's most recent flagship model. It has a few unique features that its lower-priced models lack. The only noises are the occasional low hum of its motor, and brief bursts of sucking during cleaning. Its navigation system, which uses a camera and 3D-structured lights, multiple lasers and a 3D-structured light to identify and avoid obstructions, is impressive. This makes the X40 Ultra receive one of the top scores in our assessments of obstruction avoidance.
5. Eufy S1 Pro
The Eufy S1 Pro has been designed to be an efficient mop and vacuum that is also user-friendly. Its gunmetal-colored base station self-emptying and refills its own tank with clean water, automatically emptying the dust bin into a smaller one it washes and dry its own mop pad in between cleaning sessions. It is equipped with advanced features that allow it to switch between carpets and hard surfaces, and remove pet hair from carpets, and clean thresholds for rooms that are raised.
The S1 Pro has excellent navigation and mapping due to the internal dToF system. It can keep a low-profile while still providing top-notch detection of objects. It drives close to walls without crashing and avoids steps, and also raises its mop automatically when driving over rugs and short-pile carpets. It was a bit shaky when it encountered longer-pile carpets and also some long, thick piles of dried-on debris.
Like most robots, the S1 Pro comes ready to take off from the box and only requires an initial mapping session to learn its way around your home. The map will then be displayed in the app and you can add or join rooms as necessary. You can also create virtual boundaries, no-go zones and no-mop areas if you don't wish the robot to touch specific objects.
The S1 Pro does a great job of cleaning up spills from hard floors due to its rotary mop head, which puts 2.2lbs (1kg) of downward pressure on the floor. Its ability both to vacuum and mop makes it a great choice for homes that have two types of flooring. However, its reliance on Eufy cleaning solutions (which are included in the box) makes it less flexible than other robots that permit you to include your own cleaning solutions.
